Like many of the best ideas, the idea for BidFest came to us over dinner and a glass of wine* when someone** said: “Wouldn’t it be great if there was a festival for the bidding community?” After a lot of laughter, someone said: “Pigs might fly”, and that’s how BidFest was born.
* Ok, several
** We can't remember who
Celebrating the bidding community at BidFest, we create space to step away from the pressure of work. Our goal is to bring people together, stay connected, and have fun along the way.
Your support and contributions help make BidFest happen. We suggest £30 per person to cover the cost of laying on the event.
If donations exceed the cost of the event, the extra will be donated to a local charity.

Please email us at prudence@bidfest.co.uk if you can't find an answer to your question.
BidFest is an inclusive event for anyone in the bidding community, including friends and family. We also welcome people from the adjacent worlds of sales and procurement. Since the venue is a working farm, we’re keeping it strictly adults only with no pets allowed.
Bring what you need for a comfortable day outdoors. The British weather can be 'variable', so bring layers, sensible shoes/wellies, a waterproof, sunhat and suncream. If you’re camping, bring all the camping gear you think you'll need - we're providing the land, you bring the gear.
We're planning to get a food truck, but you may want to bring your own food and drink to suit yourselves.
Bring something to sit on. We're planning to provide hay bales, but it never hurts to bring your own camping chairs or rugs.
We're planning music, activities, games, food (to buy), drinks (to buy), and a fire-pit. Think less conference, more open air.
If you can sing or play an instrument then bring it along - you might find yourself being the headliner!
We’re planning the essentials, including toilets, water, parking, shelter, and space to camp if you want to stay over.
The farm is in a rural setting next to an A-road, making travelling by car the best form of transport. If you prefer to come by train, the nearest stations are: Droitwich Spa (approx. 10mins drive); Worcestershire Parkway (15mins); or Worcester Foregate Street (15mins). You'll need to make your own arrangements to travel to/from the BidFest site.
Yes. Parking is available on-site.
Yes, there's a lovely village nearby with a choice of accommodation. We'll share more details if your Expression of Interest is accepted. Note that you'll be responsible for booking accommodation and for any transport to/from the BidFest site.
If you bring a posh tent, then yes.
Food and drink are part of the plan. We’ll share the final setup once it’s locked.
Erm. Come as your favourite colour review? Or a farm animal. You do you.
No. BidFest is an independent gathering. You do not need to be an APMP member to come along.
Highly unlikely. We’re aiming for relaxed, not chaotic. Apart from Eve, who will mosh.
Dude, seriously? It might. This is Britain and we’re outdoors, so come prepared. There'll be a gazebo we can huddle under.
Good idea. Yes, there will be merch. We’ll share more on that nearer the time.
Er. No. We're doing it because we thought it was a great idea. We haven't included the cost of our time to organise it and nor are we filling our sales funnel. We do it because it's fun and because we enjoy bringing the bidding community together.
If you're an England or Scotland fan, then you're safe! Here are the games that are on during BidFest:

Sunday 21st June fixtures:
Bidders are a friendly bunch - just bring some horror stories of bids gone bad and you'll make friends for life.
Sunday 21st June is Father's Day, so why not bring the old man along!
No. For once, the deadline is staying put ;P
Yes. Totally.
We will be taking photographs on the day of our BidFest event. If you do not wish to be in them, please alert the photographer. The site is a working farm, making it unsuitable for children or pets. If you have any accessibility needs, let us know, and we'll work it out.
